How to install under Windows:
Download the zip file. Right-click on it and select Extract all... > [V] Show extracted files when complete > Extract.
Inside the folder "StrokeTestWindows" run the executable "StrokeTest.exe". In the "Windows protected your PC" popup window, click More info > Run anyway.
How to use under Windows:
Make strokes with a pen, eraser, or mouse. Hold key E to make the pen act as an eraser.
StrokeTest displays the current tablet API at the bottom left of the window.
Press key 1 to use the WinTab API from Wacom. WinTab is the default API when the WinTab library is available on your system.
Press key 2 to use Windows Ink from Microsoft. StrokeTest automatically switches to Windows Ink when the WinTab library is not available.
The WinTab library may be available on the system, but it may not work when using a tablet without its proprietary driver.
To make the tablet work with WinTab, install the driver for the drawing tablet from its manufacturer's site or switch to Windows Ink from Microsoft.
Windows Ink from Microsoft works without a proprietary tablet driver for modern tablets or when the system has tablet drivers from different vendors.
Ensure that Windows Ink is enabled and mouse mode is disabled in the proprietary driver:
For the Huion tablet, go to the app "HuionTablet > Digital Pen > [V] Enable Windows Ink > [ ] Mouse Mode".
For the Wacom tablet, go to the app "Wacom Tablet Properties > tab Mapping > [V] Use Windows Ink > Mode (*) Pen, not Mouse".
For the XPPen tablet, go to the app "Pentablet > Pen settings (pen icon in the middle) > [V] Windows Ink > [ ] Mouse mode".

In case "StrokeTest" does not recognize your tablet (the strokes are white like from a mouse and no pressure sensitivity):
[RMB] StrokeTestLinux > Open in Terminal > ./stroke-test
You will see the list "Input Devices" in the Terminal. Please screenshot this list and send it to me.
I will include the name of your tablet device, and "StrokeTest" will recognize it in the next update.
